I can't comment about the rooms as I didn't stay, however I can comment on the wonderful gentleman at reception. This concierge was delightful and incredibly helpful in tracking down my friends. If the hotel is anything like the service this gentleman provides, I would highly recommend it.

I was on a business trip to London in March. Booked the Sumner Hotel for 1 night. Arrived the hotel to check-in after the dinner event, which was about 9:30 pm. It was smooth. The room was clean and quite quiet. I need to catch an early train the next morning so need to checkout at around 6:30am. No problem at all and the staff is nice. Good value!

The best part about the Sumner is the staff! Very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are on the smaller side but quite clean and recently updated. Can’t beat the value or location.

Myself and my brother stayed at the sumner last night. We were both very pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. The very friendly staff, and a lovely buffet breakfast with plenty of options. The location is also great. We will definitely stay again when next in London.

The hotel is a good standard in a good central location, however couple of things stood out positively for me. Firstly I had accidentally booked a twin room on our work system. When I got there the guy on reception offered me a double that was much better. I was staying as I was at a black tie event around the corner. As I was getting ready the tie snapped! I ran to reception hoping they had some pins or a sewing kit. When I told the guy, he just smiled and me said "I can do better". He came from the back with a bow tie and kindly let it to me for the evening. Absolute legend and life saver! It's the little things sometimes, great staff and highly recommend this place to stay.
